Meet Our Therapists

Drew McClellan
Drew has practiced in the field of mental health since 2016, beginning his career providing mental health crisis services at COMCARE in Wichita, KS. After graduating with his Master of Social Work degree in 2017 from Wichita State University, Drew joined the outpatient therapy team at the Mental Health Association of South-Central Kansas where he began practicing Dialectical Behavior Therapy. In addition to DBT, Drew utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Mindfulness approaches to address difficulties stemming from depression, anxiety, trauma, personality disorders, sexuality and gender related issues.
Drew’s clients describe him as being friendly, kind, patient, inclusive, flexible and genuine. He takes an integrative approach to therapy utilizing both client-centered and more directive modalities, depending on the client’s needs and preferences. Therapy is not a one-size-fits-all endeavor; what works for one person might not work for the next!
When not providing therapy services, Drew enjoys playing music with his friends and spending time with his partner playing board games, cycling, and walking their dogs Bruno and Butters. He believes that everyone deserves to be happy and healthy and loves helping people reach these goals.

I am a licensed clinical social worker. I began working in the mental health field in 2009 and continued to do so while furthering my education. I am passionate about helping people who have lived through trauma. My clients describe me as warm, open-minded, validating and a good listener. Please visit my Psychology Today profile for more information about my specialties and therapeutic approaches here.

Carmel Poor
I have been at this for a long time, as a patient and as a therapist. I had Borderline Personality Disorder, panic disorder and agoraphobia. I truly believe the DBT program I attended in the 90's saved my life. I was a hot mess! I have recovered and do not meet the criteria any more. Although I was happy with DBT, I also know one size does not fit all! I am trained and experienced in a variety of theoretical approaches: Cognitive Behavioral, Narrative, EMDR, Mindfulness, Gestalt, Bowenian family systems, and general "talk therapy." Overall, I believe in the healing power of laughter. Couple that with a caring and nonjudgmental therapist and you have the weirdness that is me!
